MONSOON
During monsoon the Little Rann of Kutch is filled with shallow water, turning it into a Fishing Ground for the fishermen to make their living.

The Little Rann of Kutch has a great potential to support marine and estuarine Fisheries. It provides varied aquatic habitats (marine estuarine and Freshwater) for several species of Fish and prawns. The mixing of tidal water from Gulf of Kutch with the Freshwater discharge from the rivers takes place in the Rann, thus making it an important nursery ground for Prawns. Therefore during the monsoon the western side of the Rann supports a lucrative Prawn Fishing.
